Configure your email account in a messaging software

Below you will find instructions to configure your email address in messaging software such as Outlook, Thunderbird, Incredimail, etc.:

IMPORTANT:

Outlook has changed their policy regarding 'connecting other emails to Outlook.com':

Microsoft removed the ability to connect any other accounts to Outlook.com on May 10, 2021, but accounts connected before May 10, 2021, will continue to sync.

IMAP Configuration (recommended)

1. Select the ‘Add an account’ option;
2. Choose IMAP’
3. Type your name in the Name field and your WebSelf email address (at your domain name) in the Email field;
4. The IMAP server address is: securemail.webself.net;
5. The SMTP server address is: securemail.webself.net;
6. Type your email address in the Username field;
7. Enter the password you chose when you created your email address in the Password field;
8. The server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection—make sure this option is
selected;
9. Change the IMAP Port Number to 993;
10. Change the SMTP Port Number to 465.

Note:

We highly recommend using the IMAP to maintain storage of messages on the server.

POP3 Configuration

1. Select the ‘Add an account’ option;
2. Choose POP3;
3. Type your name in the Name field and your WebSelf email address (at your domain name) in the Email field;
4. The IMAP server address is: securemail.webself.net;
5. The SMTP server address is: securemail.webself.net;
6. Type your email address in the Username field;
7. Enter the password you chose when you created your email address in the Password field;
8. The server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection—make sure this option is selected;
9. Change the POP3 Port Number to 995;
10. Change the SMTP Port Number to 465.
